Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, high speed communication system between train and ground has been developed. However, the data rate still cannot meet users' needs. To improve data rate, our group is working on an optical wireless train communication system based on mobile communication technique. Stability and cost-effectiveness of the system was also considered by maximizing the transmission device's capability. The attenuation of rain and glass was not considered in any study previously and only the distance of transmission availability had researcher's attention, which may lack practicality. In this report, the currently most appropriate and reasonable margin design based on result of rain and glass attenuation experiments will be described.
