Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are researching an optical transmission system for uncompressed signals of Ultra High Definition Television which is an extremely high resolution video system with 4320 scanning lines. For transmission distances of around 300 km, we propose the electronic pre-compensation system using a Look-Up Table(LUT), D/A converters and a dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator. In this work, we described the way of LUT values calculation and the BER dependence on LUT address size for various transmission distances and launching powers. It was found through simulations that the 10 Gbps On-Off-Keying system with 15 dBm launching power needed over 128-bit LUT address size for effective compensation of 320 km.
