Abstract(in English) | Arbitrary electric field, e.g., orthogonal frequency division multiplexing, quadrature amplitude modulation, and pre-equalization are generated by a dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator. In this paper, we propose a novel automatic bias control scheme for arbitrary optical signal generation. The proposed scheme is realized by a simple circuit without additional optical components. We investigated the validity by both simulations and experiments. Stable bit-error ratio was observed during 12 hours long with the proposed scheme. |
