Abstract(in English) Realization of flexible LCDs, which essentially use plastic substrates, is one of research targets for future LCD productions. Using plastic substrates, however, would lead conventional LCD fabrication processes to change due to their low heat resistant, etc. In this study, we mainly present the results of polymer-surface-stabilized processes for stabilizing LC alignment in flexible LCDs.
