Abstract(in English) | Jaxa has been developing an X band Multi-mode High speed Modulator (XMOD) to be installed on the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-2 launched around 2013. XMOD has 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (16QAM) and Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation schemes and achieves 800 Mbps transmission speed when 16QAM is selected. This paper describes XMOD preliminary design, its overview, the test result of the Breadboard Model and the development status. |
