Abstract(in English) | Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer -E (AMSR-E) aboard the NASA satellite Aqua has been providing sea surface temperature (SST) data in global ocean continuously under day/night and almost all weather conditions from June 2002 to the present. To observe SST using the microwave band, an absolutely necessary frequency is 6GHz. Using the AMSR-E data since the year 2002, an important role of 6GHz in observing SST will be explained.. |
