Development and operation results of JEM Inter-orbit Communication System

Abstract(in English) Inter-orbit Communication System (ICS) is developed to achieve interactive communication between Data Relay Test Satellite (DRTS), which is developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and DRTS ground station at Tsukuba Space Center. ICS development was started on July 1996 and was launched and installed on July 2009. Its functional onboard checkout was started on August 2009 and completed February 2010. ICS nominal operation has been started since March 2010. In this document, the summary of ICS function and operational achievement is presented.
