Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are engaged in developments of lidar systems for measurements of wind and CO2 profiles. 2μm lasers of single longitudinal mode and heterodyne detection systems are used to make up coherent Doppler lidars and differential absorption lidars. CO2 and wind profiles are observed by a coherent lidar system built up on an optical table. The 2μm laser for this lidar system is LD pumped and conductively cooled, and achieved an output level of about lOOmJ at 20Hz or 30Hz.
