Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To realize high-capacity access network, 10Gbps-class next generation PON (NG-PON) technologies have been developed. As 10Gbps-class PONs have 10 times the bandwidth of current Gbps-class PONs, 10Gbps-class PONs with high split ratio will be expected. In PON system, since transmission bandwidth is shared by users, enhanced bandwidth efficiency is required to expand split ratio. In this paper, we described newly proposed scrambling scheme which reduces mark-ratio deflection, and high-efficient burst-mode transmission using the scheme with low-cost reset-less burst-mode optical receiver.
