Extraction of Figures/Tables-specific Explanation Sentences Based on Interdependencies between Sentences and Words

Abstract(in English) We can refer to a lot of papers easily through the Internet. And if it is possible to read papers instantly, the paper understanding may be supported effectually and effectively. In this paper, we focus on figures/tables which explain the important topics in papers. To understand figures/tables is to support to understand important topics. We can understand the broad meanings of figures/tables visually and promptly; it is valid to read out papers through the focused figure/table. We introduce a mechanism of propagation important words over the corresponding sentences. This propagation mechanism is applicable to select candidate sentences appropriate to explain the focused figure/table.
