Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, online delivery of lecture videos is becoming more and more popular. However, a large amount of labor is needed to get permission to deliver videos from those who are recorded in videos; we need an effective solution to enhance right provision and to reduce workload. In this paper, we consider to protect portrait right of students who were unintentionally recorded in lecture videos. We concentrate on face-to-face lecture videos recorded by a stationary high-definition camcorder in a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The videos are analyzed by face detectors of OpenCV to automatically find faces, then after correcting detection failures, only students' faces are hidden. An evaluation showed that our method could successfully hide 90 percent of the faces that we can recognize the persons.
