Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Considering the active future network/future internet research activities, ITU-T has started Focus Group on Future Networks (FG-FN) to investigate these activities from telecom point of view, to establish a vision of future networks, and to suggest study items for future ITU-T. FG has started its activity in June 2009, and since then it has held four meetings in Japan, US and Europe to collect relevant information. It has started to document the vision as well as particular topics, i.e., network virtualization, energy savings of networks and identification processes. It will end its activity by the end of 2010, and its appropriate output deliverables will later be standardized as ITU-T recommendations.
