Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Communication services considering elderly people are needed because of aging society. We studied a subjective quality evaluation method for elderly people. Subjective test result showed that the effect on quality of wideband speech for elderly people was smaller than that for young people. In this paper, we derived cognitive structure models for speech quality estimation and analyzed speech quality factors. First, we performed subjective quality evaluation for wideband and narrow-band speech signals for elderly people, as well as young people. Next, we performed the questionnaire for quality evaluation by using laddering method. As a result, we got the differences of quality evaluation factors between elderly people and young people.
