Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When a large-scale disaster such as earthquakes occurs, the public switched telephone network and the cellular phone network might not be able to be used by overcrowding of the line and/or cutting the cable. The wireless ad hoc network is expected to be used as a means of communication in such cases because it can be configured without network infrastructure. One of the most important problem in wireless ad hoc network is to keep high connectivity by autonomous routing according to the movement of the terminals. Another important problem is saving power consumption of the terminals because there is a limit in the power resource of each mobile terminal. In this paper, we aim at the optimization of these two problems and try to clarify the relation between amount of routing packets and data delivery rate when active route timeout in AODV and packet transmission intervals are changed by use of network simulator.
