Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a prototype of the hyper multi-point data gathering SATCOM system that aggregates various sensor data from a large number of observation stations across the nation with high frequency utilization efficiency. This paper presents its configuration and technical features, as well as results of field trials using the Engineering Test Satellite VIII (ETS-VIII). The field trials have verified that frequency precision of the proposed system was on the order of 10^<-10>; the proposed access control scheme dynamically controlled transmission signals as expected; BER degradation was less than 1dB; and excellent packet transfer performance was achieved.
