Subcarrier suppression scheme adapted to frequency hopping OFDM transmission for Satellite/Terrestrial Integrated Mobile Communication System

Abstract(in English) STICS (Satellite/Terrestrial Integrated Mobile Communication System) is considered to realize the wide-area reliable wireless network. STICS has satellite system and land system within its shared bandwidth in order to use frequency resource efficiently. Since optimized channel bandwidth is different between satellite system and land system, there is a problem of nonuse land-bands for interference avoidance. Authors have proposed subcarrier puncturing as an interference suppression technique for the land OFDM transmitter. We have showed that our scheme enables to assign single-user OFDM signal on the nonuse land-bands, then succeed to improve frequency utilization efficiency in our past study. In this paper, it is considered to adopt our proposal to OFDM A system for multiuser access scenario. We newly introduce the frequency-hopping OFDM supported by channel rotation scheme, then show that our proposal also can work properly in multiuser scenario and achieve equivalent average frequency utilization efficiency comparing to that of single user.
