Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Current status of satellite broadcasting in the 12GHz BSS band in Japan, the research results which have been reflected to the transmission system of the advanced digital satellite broadcasting are described. Then, future satellite broadcasting in the 21 GHz band which is expected to convey enhanced reality and spatial reproduction media (Super Hi-Vision, spatial imaging-type integral three dimensional (3D) television) and download broadcasting is shown. Study items for wideband transmission and compensation technologies for large rain attenuation are presented, followed by the research results on the generation method of power control information, phased array antenna and simulation of service availability.
