Abstract(in English) This paper presents digitally polarization tracking antenna. It consists of two main technologies; the first estimates the shift in the antenna's relative polarization angle against that of the satellite's onboard antenna, the second forms counter polarization against the estimated value. We evaluate the polarization tracking characteristics and transmission experiment via Ku-band communication satellite. Experimental results showed that the developed modem offered desired performance. Proposed antenna technique with Variable Polarization Frequency Division Multiplexing (VPFDM), which is proposed by NTT, further improves frequency utilization.
