Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report presents a basic research for an ultrasonic probe to insert a needle into an affected part in a human body under observing positions of the needle and the affected part. We fabricated a small circular ultrasonic probe with through hole, and investigated a basic operation. Preliminary experiments were made using agar and chicken fillet instead of human body, and a needle tip and an object (agar or chicken fillet) set in front of the probe were observed by TOFD (Time of flight diffraction) technique and pulse echo technique, respectively. Experiment was also made for a stomach wall removed from an affected part.
