Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present paper introduces a method how to construct binary sequences having a zero-correlation zone property. We generate a set of sequences from an Hadamard matrix. The cross-correlation function of two different sequences of the set is zero for the phase shifts within some range. The side-lobe of the auto-correlation function of a sequence of the set is zero for the phase shifts within the same range. The range is said to be zero-correlation zone. The proposed zero-correlation zone sequence set is divided into two subsets. Zero-correlation zone of the inter-subset cross-correlation function is much wider than zero-correlation zone of the inner-subset cross-correlation function. Applying the proposed sequence set to the synthetic aperture ultrasonic imaging, we get better image because inter-subset zero-correlation zone is wider. The proposed sequence set is expected to be suitable for real-time synthetic aperture ultrasonic imaging.
