Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, with activities in Cognitive Radio technologies, Software Defined Radio(SDR)has become one of the most remarkable technologies for wireless access network. In Software Defined Radio technologies, both systematic inquiry for novel services and higher performances with flexibility and adaptive operation capability, and investigation in implementation employing the state of the art programmable devices have been carried out, respectively. Progress to Cognitive Radio is the result of systematic inquiry for frequency utilization efficiency that is the ultimate purpose of the research in wireless technology. This article describes features and expectations of Software Defined Radio and Cognitive Radio technologies based on the viewpoint of the research and development of wireless access systems and services in experiences.
