Abstract(in English) In order to enhance the control and management of optical networks and to improve the resiliency of optical networks, we are studying a generalized multi-protocol label switching (GMPLS) -controlled translucent wavelength switched optical network (WSON). In this paper, we introduce a developed PCE embeded an impairment-aware routing and wavelength assignment (IA-RWA) algorithm for translucent WSONs, which enables to compute a optical path considering an optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) -based physical impairment constraint and a wavelength continuity constraint. In addition, a resilient translucent WSON controlled by a PCE and extended GMPLS controllers was successfully demonstrated, while quantitatively evaluating the path computation latency and service disruption time during end-to-end lightpath restoration.
