Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, internet users have risen dramatically. In addition, traffic volume of IP network has increased explosively due to expanding high-capacity content delivery such as video delivery. We pay attention to photonic network technology in order to adapt to the increased volume of traffic. Network link has been growing to high speed and large capacity because of the development of Optical WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology. Meanwhile, due to the shift to Ubiquitous network environment in addition to the increase of link capacity, routing processes on IP level tend to increase. Especially, there is a great fear that routing table is expanded and complicated. They also come up against a problem in QoS guarantee with increased path length. The study suggests to new network architecture that reduces routing processes on IP level by adaptively leveraging the OXC(Optical Cross-Connect) and making virtual node function composed of a several distantly-positioned OXCs. And we also evaluate its effectiveness.
