Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Railway signalling systems are required to guarantee a high level of safety in controlling train operation, it has been prudent to apply error correction codes because the probability for undetected errors of the safety code may increase by the influence of error correction codes. This paper discusses, aiming at safety conditions for applying error correcting code to railway signaling, relations of Hamming distance and error detection/correction codes as well as the extension of asymmetry, which is widely applied as one of main safety technology concepts on railway signaling.
