Abstract(in English) | In this study, we investigated the influences of the size of tactile dots and bars on their discriminability. As the result of the experiment, we determined that the longer length of tactile bars were, the faster, more accurate and confident blindfolded younger and elder participants could discriminate the tactile bars from tactile dots. The width of tactile bars did not have critical influence on the discriminability of tactile bars. It is worth serious consideration that standard developers recommend tactile bar size as the basis for difference between its length and width. |
