Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The IP multicast is an effective communication technology for delivering a large amount of data to many users. However, when the existing multicast technology is simply applied to a mobile environment, the momentary link-downs are caused by packet transmission delays due to the binding update and the multicast-tree reconstruction processes. In this work, we propose a new type of dynamic multicast routing protocol introducing a routing agent, called OR (Operation Router), which maintains the content delivery services and manages the server's mobility. The ORs are located at the edge of the multicast network and have connections with the multicast server and clients. Furthermore, the preliminary performance evaluation in terms of the handover delay will be discussed.
