Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) NerveNet is a regional network infrastructure that provides a variety of services with the use of sensor information and regional information-sharing and exchanges in order to solve social problems in regions and to improve quality of residents' lives. It is a mesh-topological network composed of distributed base stations that are interconnected. Each base station has a database and information processing function. Information synchronization function allows each base station to have the same information. Synchronized management of registration information and connection status of mobile terminals makes it possible to authenticate a mobile terminal at a base station upon request of connection and to do mobility control upon change of base station. This report focuses on describing terminal information management, synchronization and mobility control, and also presents results of measured processing delay performances related to the mobility control.
