Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, studies which recognize person's motions and object's states with sensors have gotten great attention. DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) is an algorithm for measuring similarity between two sequences which may vary in time, and is useful for matching a pair of sequence data. However, the amplitudes of acceleration data of motions at different paces are different. The acceleration data cannot be matched using DTW with Euclidean distance accurately. Therefore, in this paper, we design robust DTW distance to recognize motions at different paces. Through a preliminary evaluation of motion of a hand, we show a conbination of our proposed DTW distance and Euclidean distance is more efficient to recognize motions at different paces than Euclidean distance alone.
