Flow Based QoS Control in OBS Networks

Abstract(in English) The class based QoS control has been studied in the Optical Burst Switching (OBS) field. However, since the class based QoS cannot control flows, some malicious flows may cause unexpected burst delay and blocking to other flows. In order to cope with this problem, we propose a flow based QoS control using Committed Information Rate (CIR) at ingress edge nodes. We also execute the simulation experiments for class based QoS and the proposed flow based QoS and show that effectiveness of our flow based QoS.
