Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present a brief introduction of our architecture for virtualized network infrastructures, and explains its enabling technologies including OpenFlow and Network OS for integrated control plane. Our goal is to realize flexible network infrastructure having its characteristics like virtualization and programmability. In this paper, we discuss four fundamental requirements, such as openness, virtualization, modularization, and programmability, and based on such requirements, we propose architecture for flexible network infrastructure. Then, we explain its enabling technologies including OpenFlow and Network OS for integrated control plane. The network OS is a software platform for integrated control plane that controls entire infrastructure including OpenFlow switches and other IT and network resources. Various control applications, such as routing and VM migration, on such platform are used to realize flexible network infrastructure.
