Abstract(in English) EFE(Ether-Forwarding Engine)is a protocol controller which is under development by NEC for a new standard network interface called ExpEther. In order to reduce the overhead caused by packet transfer using TCP-IP, EFE uses an original protocol for low latency reliable packet transfer. In this report, RDMA controller is implemented in the FPGA on ExpEther development board, and is evaluated by the loop back experiment. As a result, RDMA controller achieved latency of 1.38μs and throughput of 159MByte/s. The results show an enough performance in Gigabit Ethernet.
