Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High-level safety is the most essential for the railway signalling systems. At the same time, high-level of availability is also required. In order to make availability better, control systems are generally configured redundantly, which measure contributes to making failure rates lower. However, a failure in some devices which control all signalling systems in a station such as electronic interlocking systems, leads to a long downtime. To reduce a downtime, we propose a distributed train control system, and show an essence of a case study on its effectiveness.
