Abstract(in English) East Japan Railway Company introduced the Network Signaling System which controls signaling equipment in the station yard via optical network in Feb 2007. This system aims improving of quality about signal construction works by reducing large amount of metallic cable, wiring work, and simplifying of continuity check. In this system, reliability improves by making the duplex system including an optical network that is the transmission line. In this paper, we describe reliability of Network Signaling System and show application to Integrated logical controller that advances present development.
