Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To support communications of disabled individuals with motor paralysis, EOG-based character input interface controlled by eye movements was developed. The subject can input characters using a screen keyboard controlled by his/her EOG Comparing with the previous methods. The number of input operation was reduced to four such as right, left and down movements and selection by considering the operatability. The performance of the system was improved using a hierachical arrangement of the screen keyboard even if the number of input operation was decreased.
