Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing several tools to improve cognition under cooperation of second grade elementary school children with cerebral palsy and verifying their effects. The cooperator has a little retardation in intellectual development and is not good at reading, writing and adding. We prepared software to improve the numerical concept and tested them. As a result, we could obtain the improvement in recognizing three objects at a glance without recall of digits, that is, the first step of numerical concept development. However, the improvement was not seen for the ability of addition. On the other hand, as for reading ability, to decide training procedures of the reading acquisition, we carried out some tests to reveal what the origin of poor reading ability is. Through those tests it is found that the cooperator is not good at comprehending the context during reading sentences and is not good at recognizing voiced sound, semi-voiced, and contracted sound letters of the hiragana. We could also observed that the cooperator has a problem in the visual perceptual ability.
