Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report presents a plate spring type sensor for reading Braille. A Braille letter is consisted of 6 dots of 3 times 2 arrays. The sensor detects the height of Braille dots via three plate springs and three strain gages. The direct contact type sensor proposed in this report detects Braille dots with good accuracy. This report proposes a sensor holder which make possible scan in one hand. The shape of the holder is discriminated by touch because of the anti-symmetry. The holder has a ditch in order to avoid deviation from Braille. The outline of a sensor holder is described, and the shape and function of the holder is discussed.
