| 抄録(和) | 筆者らは,国や言語・文化などの違いによらず理解しやすいピクトグラムのデザインに利用することを目的として,手話の視覚言語としての共通性について調べてきた.これまでの研究により,CLが重要な役割を担っているということが示唆された.本報告では,CLによって表現されることが予想されるような内容の映像(たとえば,自動車の衝突など)を題材として,ろう者の表現手法を分析した.これらのシーンを含んだビデオを,日常的に手話を使用する被験者に見せ,その内容を対話相手に言葉を使用せずに伝えさせる,という課題を設定した.対話相手は,ろう者および手話がわからない聴者とした.このときの被験者の映像データを分析し,CLとジェスチャの表出のされ方が対話相手の違いによってどのように異なるかを比較した.その結果,聴者にわかりやすい表現をするために,CLのみではなく,ロールシフト,比較表現などが使用されていることが分かった.これらの結果から,ピクトグラムのデザインにおいても,これらの表現手段を有効に利用することによって,ユニバーサルなデザインができることが予想される. |
| 抄録(英) | The authors have looked closely at sign languages to find aspects that are universal so that it can be implemented on universal design of pictograms, that can lessen the barriers of communication between people from different countries, languages and cultures. From our previous research, it was found that classifiers had an important role contributing to universal aspects of sign language. In this report, short video clips were selected, eg. a video of a car crash. It was assumed that these videos can be expressed using classifiers. These videos were shown to Deaf people that use Japanese Sign Language as their daily language and they were asked to tell their interlocutor (a Deaf person and also a Hearing person with no background in sign language), what happened in the video. These video data of the Deaf expressions were analyzed to find out how Deaf changed their expressions depending on their interlocutor. As a result, it was found that Deaf used not only classifiers but role shifts and contrasting expressions so that Hearing person can understand better. These aspects used in the expressions of the Deaf can be implemented on pictograms contributing to more universality. |
