User-centric WLAN Admission Control for Improving User Satisfaction

Abstract(in English) This work discusses a WLAN autonomous admission control using the estimation of throughput value which a mobile terminal would transmit data with before the terminal is connected to the WLAN. By implementing this admission control mechanism into each mobile terminal, the whole network utilization efficiency would become better and eventually the WLAN service's level of user satisfaction would be improved. This paper will show how to put the proposed method into practice and the effectiveness based on the results obtained by the field experiments considering network load.
