A Proposal of Contents Sharing Method Based on Attribute with a Range as a Key in Skip Graph

Abstract(in English) In recent years, P2P networks are utilized in the field of the contents sharing. According to the transfer method of the search query, P2P networks are roughly classified into non-structured and structured type. The structured type P2P network can search whole network efficiently and has advantages of scalability and so on. However, the difficulty of handling complex searches other than the exact match and range searches is a problem. In this paper, we propose a method that supports section search in structured type P2P network by sharing content with a range attribute as a key. In our proposal, using the structured P2P network called SkipGraph, a physical host participates in the network as two peers for each content. Then by notifying owns existence to peers in the section, it is possible to perform the section search. In addition, the cost incurred by notification can be reduced by notifying only some peers in the section. Furthermore, we perform evaluation by the simulation and show a rate of the number of search results of contents in the environment where the secession of peer on network.
