Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Generally, in a large-scale network such as the Internet, an identical content is brought by many sources in different format and different conditions. And the content is being updated or becoming obsolete respectively in each source as time passes. If a user can always keep getting freshly renewed contents from sources, he/she may have enough satisfaction; however, if he/she often gets some stale or unrenewed contents, the user's satisfaction level may degrade relatively. In this report, we propose an effective monitoring method which tries to maximize user's profit for information retrieval totally by means of selecting appropriate contents sources and appropriate moment to retrieve. And we also show its efficiency by computer simulations.
