Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, IP multicast networks are deployed widely as an efficient way to use network resources replacing unicast networks because network nodes need to be deployed in a distributed manner to avoid access concentration in unicast networks. In case of service interruption for some IP multicast channels, the methods usually used may affect other normal channels, for example, changing channels for suspicious IP multicast packets, changing suspicious packages, or rebooting whole node. Thus, in order to provide stable services, it is important to recover such interrupted IP multicast channels without affecting other normal channels. This paper proposes and evaluates several methods for service recovery without affecting other channels in carrier IP multicast networks.
