Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel user interface and information service based on the integration of image processing and myoelectric signal processing. The system recognizes objects around a hand or hands by processing images from head-mounted camera and hand motions by electromyography, and then chooses services to the user, e.g., usage information of the object. In this system, user motion recognition is guided by the object recognition results. More specifically, the accuracy is well improved by restricting the motion candidates from myoelectrical processing to a few motions related to the objects around hands. In this paper, we introduce the method and report the result of experiments, and relation between the number of motion candidates and the recognition accuracy.
