Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The optical coherence tomography(OCT)is widely used for the diagnosis of the glaucoma recently. It is important to measure the retinal structure quantitatively for the diagnosis. However the images obtained from the OCT are usually distorted by speckle noises and shadow of the vessels. Therefore, it is difficult to detect and measure the retinal layers using normal object detection methods. In our study, we use the advanced bilateral filter and local and adaptive tone correction methods for speckle noise reduction, the Intelligent Scissors method for detecting retinal layers, and the Structural Similarity(SSIM)for detecting the edge of the Retinal Pigment Epithelium(RPE). As a result, we can measure the RNFL thickness and C/D area ratio automatically.
