Automatic liver tumor detection using EM/MPM algorithm and shape information

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new method to detect liver tumor automatically in CT images. Although previous work used EM algorithm, the algorithm couldn't detect tumor which is brighter than usual tumor intensity. So in this research, we used EM/MPM algorithm which consider not only the pixel intensity but also neighboring pixel label and can detect tumors more accurately. And another thing, we considered the tumor shape information and we can decrease the number of false positive drastically.
