Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Integrated geographical information systems have become popular. These systems provide an integrated and consistent way to search through geographical information, as well as other related information domain. From the users' viewpoint, however, there are the following problems:(1)the organization of the information and the query manner are not so flexible,(2)collaborative use with other services is not so easy,(3)the information is evaluated and managed solely by the service provider, possibly reflecting the view of the provider. In addition, from other information/service providers' viewpoint, there is virtually no chance of integration to existing major services. This report proposes a collaborative information domain framework. Information provider can store and organize their information into an information domain. A user can compose intended service by combining information domains. For the communication between information domains, the framework requires very simple data format, allowing the collaboration easy.
