Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dependence of color appearance of an object on the background color is known as color contrast effect. This effect changes with observation time by color adaptation. It is therefore necessary for a quantitative analysis of the contrast effect to obtain its kinetic property. In the present paper, we presented some matching stimulations of different lightness at an interval after presentation of the test stimulation, changed the interval, and investigated kinetic properties of the brightness contrast effect from the relationship between the matched lightness and interval. We set a partition bulkhead between both eyes of the observer and presented the test stimulation and the matching stimulations put on a common background to each eye.
