Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) I conducted two experiment to examine the effect of focus position in depth perception. In experiment 1, two images were displayed on the LCD display up and down. All images used in the experiment contained two targets and the ground. They were photographed by a digital camera. Targets were positioned in different depth and horizontally. Either of them was focused on the near target and the other was focused on far target. Subjects' task is to choose the image in which the length between near target and far target was longer. Results showed that subjective distance between them in the image focused on near target was longer than far target. In experiment 2, images produced by 3DCG software(POV-Ray)were used. Results showed the tendency similar to experiment 1.
