Abstract(in English) The conventional optical four-fiber ribbon can be separated into individual fibers for using each of the fibers in the optical closure. In this paper, we propose the new enhanced separable optical fiber ribbon with the protuberant matrix. We also propose the easy and safe separation technique for the new enhanced separable optical fiber ribbon by applying the lateral pressure with the simple and compact tool.
