Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an unconstrained respiration monitoring system during sleep focusing on weight movement due to employing hetero-core fiber optic sensors with single-mode basis. The proposed hetero-core fiber sensor is independent on temperature fluctuation with stable transmission line, therefore, can be used for the bed with high humidity and unstable environment. The hetero-core fiber optic weight sensors were developed to have high sensitivity to the light weight and applied to measure the respiration during sleep for several subjects.
