Abstract(in English) | We propose 3 Dimension Chip Scale Package(3D-CSP) Bi-directional optical module, as a very small interface with a simple assembly process in 10 Gbps Optical Access System. This 3D-CSP optical module is composed by two factors, namely, one is Active Optical Sub-Assembly(AOSA) in which LD, PD and Trans-impedance Amplifier(TIA) are integrated on a substrate, and the other is Passive Optical Sub-Assembly(POSA) in which Wavelength Division Multiple(WDM) filter and micro-lenses are integrated on a Silicon substrate. In this paper, the proposed 3D-CSP optical module was fabricated. As a result, the excellent isolation characteristics and the Bi-directional optical communication at 10 Gbps through the POSA were successfully demonstrated. |
